Tasting Event Description:

Join John Staunton and David Andes from Merchant du Vin Importers as they guide us through a 90-minute virtual tasting of the Iconic Beers of Europe! The tasting will include beers brewed in Belgium, England, Germany, The Netherlands and Scotland – 6 beers total.

John and David will explain the history behind each and the ingredients and processes that make them unique. Because three of the selections are brewed in Trappist monasteries, they will also discuss what makes them special. Along the way, we'll learn about the history and modern variety of these styles and how best to taste and enjoy them.

John Staunton is Merchant du Vin’s Eastern Regional Sales Manager. He manages a team of Import Beer Managers and their distribution network in the eastern one-third of the USA.  In his role, he often travels to Europe and visits breweries – including those featured in this virtual tasting.

David Andes is Merchant du Vin’s Import Beer Manager for 6 Midwestern states. He started his beer career in 2000 at The Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a Certified Cicerone who also enjoys homebrewing.
