Pauwel Kwak glass with wooden holder is imported from Bosteels Brewery in Belgium.

According to the brewery, it was designed by the innkeeper Pauwel Kwak in the early 19th century for coachmen who, at the time, were not allowed to leave their vehicles. The uniquely shaped glass was hung on the coach so the coachmen could be served without entering the tavern.

Its bulbous base and flaring rim encourage a full head to form.

Glass has "Pauwel Kwak" script signature in white; stand has Kwak logo and decorative border of hops with "Op uw gezondheid" and "A votre santé" ("To your health" in Dutch and French) in brown.

Glass in stand dimensions: 10" H x 5" W X 3-1/2" D

Glass 9-3/4" H x 3-3/8" W at rim. Capacity is 12 oz.

Brouwerij Bosteels (Bosteels Brewery) is a brewery in Buggenhout, Belgium founded in 1791 owned and operated by the same family for seven generations until its sale in 2016. They brew three beers: Tripel Karmeliet, DeuS, and Pauwel Kwak.

The goofiest, least practical glass on the planet. I love it.

Honestly, if you're going to buy one glass for the fantastic beers on this site, this should be it. You friends and guests *will* have questions if they haven't seen one of these before. Many will roll their eyes, some will think you're weird or eccentric - just ignore them and enjoy the full Kwak experience.

Wobbly bottom

Look I truly love the glass and the stand, BUT: couldn't you have designed a flat bottom?? I can only put the glass down by placing it in the stand, and that's annoying. It also means I have to carry the stand from room to room.
