KASTEEL DONKER
Kasteel Donker
(ABV 11%) is a dark brown Quadrupel with a lingering tan head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, raisins, and figs appear in the nose, while roasted malts create a complex flavor profile that is bold, smooth, and sweet. The depth of flavor and the long finish make Kasteel Donker a beer to be savored. Three 16.9 oz cans.

KASTEEL ROUGE
Kasteel Rouge
(ABV 8%) is a unique blend of Kasteel Donker (Quad) and macerated cherries. Ruby red in color with a rich foamy head, its aroma of oblacinska cherries mingles perfectly with hints of caramel, toffee and malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, and a subtle tartness balances out the sweetness of cherries, adding depth and complexity to each sip. Three 16.9 oz cans.

KASTEEL RUBUS
Kasteel Rubus
(ABV 7%) is a full-bodied, purplish-red beer with a light pink head. Brewed with the juice of ripe raspberries, which lend their distinct aroma to enhance the malty notes of the base beer. The flavor is a perfect balance of sweet ripe fruits and slightly bitter undertones. The fruity finish makes the beer easy to drink. Three 16.9 oz cans.

KASTEEL WIT
Kasteel Wit
(ABV 4.8%) is a fresh wheat beer offering aromas of citrus and freshly grated ginger. The taste is superbly balanced between the zesty citrus, spicy ginger and biscuity maltiness. The harmonious blend of sweet, sour and spicy flavors is topped with coriander and lemongrass for a crisp, dry and refreshing finish. Three 16.9 oz cans.

Brewery Information:

The Van Honsebrouck Brewery (makers of Kasteel beers) began as a small farm and brewery on the outskirts of Ingelmunster in the West Flanders region of Belgium.

Purchased in 1900 by husband and wife Emile and Ludovica Van Honsebrouck and expanded in the 1930s by their two sons, major success would elude the brew farm until the 1950s when grandson Luc Van Honsebrouck took over the business.

Educated at the brewing schools of Ghent and then gaining practical experience at a large German brewery, Luc would change the direction of the family business by breaking with tradition and concentrating on the production of high quality specialty beers. His vision proved fortunate, and made him a legend in the craft brew industry.

Today the Van Honsebrouck Brewery – still family owned and operated – distributes its specialty ales to at least two dozen countries including the United States, Canada, China, Italy, Brazil and Japan.
