Duvel (ABV 8.5%) is their flagship ale -- a Belgian Strong Blond Ale top-fermented with a distinctive yeast strain selected originally in the 1920s. Bottle-conditioned in a process that takes 3 months, the brew is pale golden in color with a full creamy head. Aromas include citrus, apple, bananas and hops with robust flavor notes of pale malts, fruity esters and subtle spice. A smooth mouthfeel and dry finish conceal its "devilish" ABV.

Duvel 6.66 (ABV 6.6%) is an accessible beer with typical Duvel punch. Its heavenly soft, refreshingly fruity flavor comes from a careful blend of hop varieties. No fewer than 6 different hop varieties, along with orange zest. Dry-hopped and refermented in the bottle, it pours sunny yellow-gold and slightly hazy with a billowy white head. This “devilish” Belgian Blond Ale is mild, expressive and deliciously drinkable.
- Duvel Tripel Hop Citra (ABV 9.5%). The brewers at Duvel Moorgat added a third hop variety to give their classic Duvel a surprising twist and some extra bitterness. Aromatic Citra hop, grown in Washington’s Yakima Valley, enriches their flagship ale with fresh hints of grapefruit and tropical fruit. Winner of a gold medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge and the consumer trophy at the Zythos Beer Festival. It’s a “devilish” Belgian IPA!
Two 11.2 oz / 33 cl bottle each are included, along with one Duvel “D” glass (approx. 6-3/4" tall x 3-3/4" in diameter; 33 cl/11.2 oz capacity). A great gift for the beer lover in your life!
Brewery Information:
The Duvel Moortgat Brewery was founded in 1871 by husband and wife Jan-Leonard Moortgat and Maria de Bock. Their brewery farm joined an already crowded brewers market (some 4000 distinct breweries existed in Belgium at the time) but hard work, tenacity, and the brewer's craft evident in their top-fermented ales enabled them to build a loyal customer base.
By the turn of the 20th century, the brewery's reputation for quality was firmly established and it had become a family enterprise as sons Albert and Victor joined the business.
The end of the First World War saw the introduction of "Victory Ale," a beer whose recipe was modeled after great English ales of the time; soon renamed "Duvel," the brew became a sensation locally and then internationally, and remains to this day the brewery's flagship ale.
Still overseen by a fourth generation of the Moortgat clan, Duvel Moortgat today is an international brand with presences in Belgium, the Czech Republic, and the United States, and distribution worldwide.
