Double Chocolate Stout (ABV 9%) is a luxuriously creamy stout featuring intense notes of Imported Dutch chocolate and dark roasted malts. Pairs well with food – especially desserts. It's just “two” good “two” deny, so share this with a special friend or treat yourself and enjoy! 16 oz. can.
Brewery Information:
Rogue Ales was founded in Ashland, Oregon in 1988 by three Nike executives: Jack Joyce, Rob Strasser, and Bob Woodell. The Brewery and Pub opened in October with a 60-seat pub and a 10 bbl brew system was in the basement. Very soon, the company started looking to expand. In May 1989, Rogue opened its Bay Front Brew Pub in Newport, Oregon. Rogue today includes 6 pubs throughout Oregon, Rogue Brewer’s on the Bay Production Facility, Rogue Eastside Pilot Brewery and Rogue Spirits Distillery.
Their first brews were American Amber Ale, Oregon Golden Ale and Shakespeare Stout. Brewmaster John C. Maier (from Alaskan Brewing ) joined the company in 1989. The company uses a proprietary yeast known as "Pacman" and has produced more than 60 different ales. Rogue says that their beers are meant to go with food, and the company has worked with both chefs and restaurateurs. July 2019, Maier retired as brewmaster, and Joel Shields took over the position.
Rogue products are now available in all 50 states and more than 50 countries. Rogue sponsors the annual surfing event "The Gathering Longboard Classic" on Newport's South Beach.
