Baladin Noel with Mandarin and Cacao is reminiscent of the chocolate orange candies associated with Christmas in western Europe. This dark beer with a classic brown color and thick cream-colored head has scents of chocolate and orange with light hints of roasted malt and dried fruit. When sipped it immediately releases pleasant warm notes of chocolate and orange zest. This balances the aromas of roasted grains. The bitterness from the hops leaves a balanced bittersweet aftertaste that makes for a very satisfying experience at every sip.
The bottle comes with a beautiful display box for the holidays – great for gifting!
Food Pairings:
Christmas cakes, classic panettone, chocolate cookies, cinnamon, orange
Brewery Information:
Le Baladin pub opened in Piozzo (Cuneo) in 1986. Right from the beginning, over 200 mainly foreign and in particular Belgian beer labels were served. Ten years later, Le Baladin became a brewpub where beer is produced and directly sold. Blonde and Ambrée (both in filtered and non-filtered versions) were the first draught beers produced by Baladin. In 1997, the bottling started, naming beers after children or friends. The Noel beer started in 1998 with different modifications to the recipe in the years to follow. The brewery continues to expand and receive recognition worldwide.
