Ardennes Quadrupel, Grand Cru Belgian Style Ale is brewed with Abbey Ale yeast, Pilsner, aromatic, biscuit, caramunich, and Special B grains, Chinook and East Kent Golding hops, along with dark candi syrup. Inspired by the beers brewed by Trappist monks, this robust ale pours a deep chestnut color with aromas of raisins and dates. The malty-rich flavor includes hints of caramel and toffee. Brewed with a variety of Belgian malts, Quadrupel often resonates with customers who enjoy Porters and Stouts. While it may be lesser known to those unfamiliar with Belgian or abbey styles, the not-too-sweet dried fruit and malt notes of Quadrupel appeal to many new to the style.
