Brewery Information:

In 2009 Epic Brewing became Utah’s first brewery since prohibition to exclusively brew high-alcohol content beer.  The laws are different in Utah – they consider anything over 4% to be high alcohol beer.  It is still illegal to sell in grocery stores and by draft.  High ABV beers must be purchased at state liquor stores or directly from the brewery.  To get around this law Epic opened a tiny tasting room in their brewhouse where they pour 2 oz samples of their high ABV beers.  They brew with high quality ingredients in small batches with only the finest malts from the US and Europe, intense hops and triple filtered water.  Ever since their opening they have pushed the boundaries of the craft beer industry.
