Glutenberg Pale Ale (ABV 5.5%) was Microbrasserie Glutenberg’s first incursion into the universe of hoppy beers. An American Pale Ale with savory and citrusy notes, this beer perfectly showcases the brewery’s versatility. Its orange and grapefruit aromas softly temper the straight-up character of American hops by endowing it with a slight touch of bitterness. The result is a delectable, balanced, resinous and full-bodied beer.
Winner in the Gluten-Free Beer category at the World Beer Cup in 2012, and at the Canadian Brewing Awards in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018.
Brewery Information:
In 2011, after more than a year of research and development, two long-time friends and entrepreneurs (one of whom had been living with gluten intolerance for several years) launched Glutenberg Blonde, Brasserie Glutenberg’s first beer on the Quebec market. At the end of their first year they were offering a trio of innovative products.
They had their first international success at the 2012 World Beer Cup, where Glutenberg beers won all three medals in the “Gluten-Free Beer” category at the world’s most prestigious brewing competition.
After this resounding victory, Glutenberg gained a very high public profile and the distribution of its beers increased, both in Quebec and the United States. The head brewer began to create a series of more experimental seasonal beers, from which several unusual gluten-free products were born, such as Gose, Stouts, Double IPA, etc.
The company plans to maintain its rapid growth rate in the coming years and continue to brew the best gluten-free beers available.
