Belgian-Style Witbier (Organic)
Brewed by: St. Feuillien
Country: Belgium
Style: Belgian White Ale (Witbier)
ABV: 5.5%
Grisette Blanche Bio (ABV 5.5%) is a refreshing Belgian-style white ale brewed by Brasserie St. Feuillien using traditional methods and certified organic ingredients. As a classic witbier, it showcases a light and delicate character that makes it especially inviting during the warmer months. Its soft wheat base is accompanied by gentle spice notes and a touch of citrus, all wrapped in a creamy, compact head and a naturally hazy, opaque appearance.
Despite its lightness, this beer maintains a full-bodied mouthfeel and a flavorful complexity that sets it apart from other summer refreshers. High-fermented and refermented in the bottle, Grisette Blanche Bio offers depth with each sip while remaining highly drinkable. Its organic certification and artisanal approach make it a standout option for both conscious and curious drinkers.
Food Pairings:
Goat cheese salad, steamed mussels, grilled lemon-herb chicken
Brewery Information:
Brasserie St. Feuillien ("Foo-Yen") had its start in the 7th century, when an Irish monk named Foylan or Foillan—a name which later was translated into the more French "Feuillien"—was killed in the village of Le Roeulx. A chapel was built in his honor, which, over time, became the Abbey St. Feuillien du Roeulx. The abbey featured a brewery to support itself, but was destroyed in the French Revolution. In 1873 the Friart family resumed brewing operations and to this day a portion of the proceeds is donated to charitable causes around the world, making St. Feuillien one of Belgium's oldest and most authentic Abbey Ales.
